Job Description
North Wales Fire and Rescue Service have a brand-new opportunity within their Corporate Planning department that offers a range of excellent company benefits.

As the Corporate Planning Officer, you will be part of a small, friendly team based at their Head Office in St Asaph, however, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, staff are currently working remotely/from home, with the ability to continue agile working in the future.

In the Corporate Planning Officer job, you will be:
  • Specialising in developing and writing corporate plans, producing reports on the Service’s performance, undertaking assessments and evaluations ensuring accuracy and integrity of data
  • Presenting complex information and providing performance reports and documents of high standard in appropriate style and language
  • Supporting the department to deliver the Service’s corporate planning framework with the preparation and development of plans and self-assessment, provision of performance monitoring, including comparative analysis with other Fire and Rescue Services/public bodies
The ideal candidate for the Corporate Planning Officer role will have:
  • An understanding of organisational performance measurements
  • Knowledge and experience of a broad range of statistical/performance information management techniques
  • An ability to engage and build positive working relationships with colleagues, service users and partners
  • The flexibility to respond when priorities change and be able to work at pace to meet deadlines
  • Excellent presentation skills with the ability to present information to a range of audiences including Senior Management
  • Computer literate, with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word and Excel) and also specialist software applications (Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio and geomapping software)
  • An understanding of the Welsh public sector (advantage)
  • Level 2 Welsh: speaking and listening - the ability to hold a simple conversation in Welsh is essential for these positions
This is a permanent vacancy, working 37 hours per week on an annual salary of £24,982 – £27,741 per annum plus company benefits.
