Job Description

You will be working at the cutting-edge of sustainable energy development based on the beautiful isle of Anglesey, North Wales.

As a Civil Marine Engineer your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting and supporting Project Managers in the design and development of subsea systems, foundations, anchoring and mooring systems, connections, umbilical and risers
  • Researching, conceptualising, sourcing, designing, tendering, evaluating bids and assisting with the approval of final systems, appointment of contractors, design & fabrication and the installation process
  • Overseeing the installation of all components to suitable standards and ensuring compliance
  • Developing suitable procedures for equipment installation
  • Delivering and operating the demonstration project in the UK, and being involved with other projects world wide
  • Contributing to the work of the Procurement Evaluation Board
  • Developing and accessing concepts for all marine infrastructure
  • Contributing to the team ensuring overall success and long-term viability of the marine infrastructure and systems

To be successful as a Civil Marine Engineer, you will need to show the following skills and experiences:

  • Proven experience working as part of a team involved in developing offshore and subsea installations, subsea and marine/offshore manufacturing, design and installation of systems, ideally in a tidal energy or other marine renewable environment
  • Knowledge and experience of subsea templates, mooring & anchoring systems, subsea umbilical and cables.
  • Experience of diver and ROV installation operations, design and offshore production
  • A Graduate in an appropriate mechanical, marine and structural/civil engineering discipline or equivalent
  • Fluent in English – written & spoken
  • UK Driving Licence
